No, I haven't died. I've just been really busy with school, and I tend to spend my summers in a cabin by a lake - a cabin that is completely devoid of any electricity and Internet. X)  The family's also inherited a house, which needs to be emptied, cleaned and fixed up, and it takes its sweet time, and will have to be combined with writing my bachelor thesis. I'm still crafting, but it takes a bit longer nowadays. Will be posting some simpler things soon, and hopefully a bigger project a bit later on. Will see how much time I'll be able to spend on it before New Years. At least I have the draft completed in my head...

   A Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, happy winter solstice or whatever you choose to celebrate from a - finally! - very snowy northern Sweden! We didn't get snow until a couple of days ago, but then we got nearly two weeks worth over night. We need the brightness, though - we only get about 4,5 hours of daylight a day around this time of year. Not that I'm complaining about the darkness, being a natural night owl. It's just that having grown up with winters full of lots and lots of snow, it just doesn't feel like proper winter (or Christmas) without that sharp contrast between snow and sky, and glittering frost covering the trees. ^^  

Me and the cats will be spending the holidays with my parents and my brother, with lots of good food and hopefully lots of relaxing (starting now, 'cause the cats started off our visit here by destroying a toy and showering the kitchen floor with dried catnip earlier). After the past months, relaxation is very much needed, so here's hoping both you and I will get a calm, cozy holiday.

School and work took a lot of time right after summer, so I wasn't able to be very active here.   Also, I kind of overdid the school-work combo. I have a genetic decease that puts a lot of strain on mostly my muscles (and nerve damage in my left shoulder, meaning I have chronic pain), and the added strain left me with muscle inflammations around my shoulders. It affected the mobility in my arms to the point where I couldn't even wash my own hair, so crafting has been out of the question.

I still have to take it easy, but I'm getting better, so fingers crossed, I'll have something new to show before Christmas at least.   (If I don't get to do anything before that, I'll probably start climbing the walls... figuratively speaking.)

First of all, I'm so happy I got a DD, so thank you again to everyone involved in that!   Also: Welcome to all new watchers! I hope you'll all like my upcoming things.

Second, it may take me some time to upload things and answer comments during the next couple of weeks, since I'm going on vacation starting tomorrow.   I'll be crafting a lot, but my summer cabin doesn't have electricity, so my visits on dA will be sporadic.

Okay, so summer hasn't showed up yet (raining and +8 degrees outside), and my landlord decided to cut the heating to the entire house, so it's +15 degrees inside, but I do have fun crafting and relaxing at least, even if it is in three layers of clothing.

The long awaited steampunk festival begins on Friday. BFF RavenMontoya and I will be doing one pirate theme, one gothic theme and one Harry Potter theme. Some of the things I'll be wearing are in my gallery, and hopefully we'll have some good pictures to show of our entire outfits later. I'm also hoping to persuade her to give us some cool, fitting backgrounds. Photos and PhotoShop are her areas, so I'll leave it to her. (*hint, hint* Raven. )

Right now, though: Time for midsummer cake, so a happy midsummer to all of you!    May you have better weather than I do.
